The built in automatic timer helps prevent over exposing and gives you the ability to multi-task with an automatic shut off. Average exposure time with this unit is 5 minutes.

A common misunderstanding is that you need to spend several thousand dollars on a vacuum unit in order to expose fine detail. Although having a vacuum unit is convenient, the purpose of the vacuum is to apply positive pressure between the screen, film, and glass. Our unit comes with a thick foam pad and instructions on how to make a lid in minutes. This method has been tested for years and adds positive pressure to give you the results you need!

Timer Upgrade Option
This unit currently comes with an analog timer that is accurate to about 7-10 second intervals. This is not an issue if you're using an emulsion that takes a few minutes to expose (CCI DXP Recommendation is 5 minutes), however, if you're using a fast exposing emulsion, you'll probably want to upgrade your timer. You have the option to upgrade to an analog timer that is accurate to 1-2 second intervals for $69.95.
